Exactly. It sometimes looks as if the number one indoor sport in this country is litigation.
I have no one but myself to protect anymore, and I trust I'm able to do so. But I feel much better carrying a DAO .38 Special for self defense, so that no opportunist prosecutor or civil lawyer can claim I used a high-cap pocket assault weapon or negligently discharged a "hair-trigger" firearm because I cocked it.
I have nothing that could be taken in a "wrongful shooting" lawsuit, but I'm damned if I'll make it easy for them.
