Default Georgia Arms

Went to a local gunshow this afternoon and bought some 158 gr SWCHP .38 special from "Georgia Arms". Price was decent and I thought I would give it a try.

Has anyone used their ammo before?? If so, what can I expect??

Don

They have a nice .45 Colt load with a 230 gr JHP moving at 900 fps for less than $30/50, new in Starline brass. I like it. Joe

Good product and good people. I have called the factory for a product and it was at the next gun show under my name. Never had a problem with any of the products.

I have never had a problem with their ammo. I have shot their .223 "Canned Heat," the 230 Gr 45 Colt, and a little of their 38 Spc +P stuff. It has been reliable and reasonably accurate. The price is usually pretty good, too.

The powder residue smells like magnolia blossoms. Other than that, pretty straightforward.

I shoot their ammo.
I've known the founder/owners for decades.
Both are lifelong shooters and men of integrity.

Good stuff. They've been sold out of everything I shoot for quite a while. Might check them out later, maybe they are back at it.

They are apparently on vacation, lol. Their website has said out of stock for months. I liked the ammo before it became unobtainable.

They appear to "be at it" 5 days a week. I stop by every few weeks at the store. They have most things in stock. From what I have observed, they are like everyone else, totally overwhelmed by demand. They have had primers of some brand for everything each time I have made a visit, and still at the old prices. The store is a constant stream of people with money leaving with ammo and components. They have placed a limit on the 223 ammo, and the 22 RF stuff. They are great people and have not jacked prices. You tell me where I can walk in and know there will be primers on the shelf at $ 20 for a thousand? This is the only place I know of that answers that question. The one pound jugs of powder selection revolves around what was in the last shipment . I am lucky to live where I can drive to the store!

Agree with the above. I was there in late March and picked up 1000 LDEWC for $64, 500 LRNFP for $33, and 1000 Federal small pistol primers for $40. The store was packed and they were limiting ammo in some calibers to 500 rounds, but had plenty on hand. They also had a reasonable stock of powder. I spoke with them before I went there and they said that they were working as fast as they could to build up their stock, but were having trouble keeping up with orders to be shipped out because of all the orders they had received. They told me that if I came in that they could provide me with what I needed and I would not need to wait several weeks for my stuff to be shipped. Very nice group of people to work with.

Well, everyone gave such great feedback on Georgia Arms that I went back (to the Gunshow) today and bought some .44 special from them.

I've never seen it in a store or at a show here in the Cleveland area. I wish it were, since I can no longer pick up the similar Federal load from gun shows here, especially in the middle of the current ammunition "panic".

Good stuff. My son and I both use it in .38-Spl, .38-Spl+P, .357-Magnum, .44-Spl and .45 ACP. Never had a problem in any caliber. We go right to their operations in Villa Rica and see them in-person.

So they are just selling at shows and their store apparently. Too bad for those of us that have to order online. Great ammo.

Georgia arms is all I buy. I have had no issues with their ammo. Plus they haven't been in the price gouging game. The only ammo they went up on is the .22lr which is surely a reflection of what they paid to get it.

As a bonus they are only 4 mile from my home.

I have used their 357 sig and 40 s&w and have had no problems. I just went to their website and wanted to backorder some 9 but it doesn't give you that option.
