Question Roper Experts--Can you help ID these grips?

I have this pair of left-hand target grips which I think fit some model of a High Standard. They have the Roper rectangular jig holes on the inside. I know that a man named Nichols made auto grips for Mr. Roper--could these be authentic?

They look like early Herrett's grips to me. I think you're correct about those fitting a High Standard.

I'll suggest one other possible maker, Lew Sanderson, although early Herrett's are a good bet too. I have two sets for 2nd model Colt Woodsmans which look very much like this style. Mine may be Herrett's too although I saw a set which appeared exactly like mine sell on eBay for $250 and the seller insisted they were Sanderson. Google Lew Sanderson and you'll find some examples of his work. Regardless of who made them, they are very nice grips.

Both opinions sound good, guys. I just keyed in on the jig holes--I have never seen these except on Ropers.

Dunno...
