Since we're doing DUMB questions
Anybody else look at the title of the Bass Player thread, and think it was about fishing?
Ten-pound bigmouth on three-pound test line? You'd have to play it, or you'd lose it.

Heck, I saw the "Drummers" thread and figured it was about guys stationed past and present at Fort Drum.

There are no dumb questions. On the other hand, there are a lot of very strange ones about nose hairs and such, usually instiga--uhhh, posed by that bayou barrister guy.

Here I thought this was about going out and throwing a fishing line in the water and catching a bass.

Hmm... I thought "drummers" were either door to door salesmen or manned a booth at one of those Home Improvement shows.

Sure. Donald Meek played a whiskey drummer, in the 1939 John Ford movie Stagecoach. "I need to return safely to the bosom of my family, brother, in Kansas City, Kansas."

I have good luck catching bass with a live cricket. But the cricket does not like it much. But I string it along and it plays a tune on the water surface.

Me too. Years ago I helped my grandpa and my dad and we went door to door and peddled vegetables from the farm. We were called peddlers and I thought a drummer was about the same thing.
Need to watch Gallager sometime and catch his take on the english language and different meanings. Of course he is crazy anyway. Anyone that would destroy a good watermelon--oh well, enough said.
