Forgive me for I have sinned
Forgot my daughters birthday on Sunday. She even called me to tell me something the grand girls had done. Son texted me last night asking if I knew what yesterday was. Well I'm batting 500 this month. Missed my SILs birthday daughters and GFs and mine first date anniversary. Well will try to do better next year.

I have a little CRS and I use the reminder built into Microsoft Outlook. All my relative's anniversaries and birthdays pop up seven days prior.

I called my daughter, couple of years ago.
"I'm a baaaaaaad Daddy."
She said, "Why?"
I said, "What's the date?"
She thought a second, said, "The 14th".
I said, "So what would that make yesterday?"
She said, "Ooohhhh".
It's better, if you are going to forget, that they also forget. She wasn't upset with me.
I, however, was quite upset with myself.

The first year that my bride and I were married, I forgot her birthday, our anniversary, and Valentines Day. Of those three, the worst offense was Valentines Day. I have not forgotten since.

My wife and kids don't put a lot of emphasis on birthdays, Hallmark-invented holidays and such, as long as I at least acknowledge them. If you flat-out forget them, then the s. will most definitely h. t. f.

Hold the phone here. You have a sister-in-law and a girl friend??? Sir, you have bigger issues than a few forgotten dates.
