What guns being sold today at normal prices have the chance of becoming "a classic."

Only one I can think of is the Ruger No. 1 RSI.

Sadly Kimbers and even some more expensive and frilly guns die after a few years because of the tight tollerances they are built at. Original 1911's were loose as a goose and thats why they ran like clocks. the RIA.......shes pretty loose haha

Depends on your opinion of classic? For me-I love all the older military style weapons and have seen various Thompson .45 SMGs, a .30 and a .50 cal semi-auto (MG) a Polish PPSH-43 C, the STG 44 .22s, various 1911 A-1s, and I dont know hat else?

There are lots of classics still being made. How about a Remington 870? The bolt action Rem. M-700, Win. M-70, Ruger M-77 MK-II. You have to admit that most any AR is now a classic. I'd even propose that there are several Glocks that can be considered classics. It seems like everyone makes a classic 1911. The last I heard Smith still makes N, K, J, and L frames, some even come with Classic nomenclature. Ruger makes the classic Blackhawk and Redhawk, and yes the Super Redhawk. Most of the polymer pistols have not been around long enough to be considered classic, but give them time.

There are a lot of very good replicas of the Colt SAA, and some are being made by Colt the last I heard.

These are just off the top of my head.

Freedom arms single action pistols! NOT their bottom of the line, lesser expensive model. quite possibly better than they used to make them, but better than they ever will, also. if you want quality (requiring human hands) today, you're gonna have to pay more.

The Beretta model 92 is what I call a classic design. Love em!

The post-Remington purchase of Marlin guns cannot be compared to "real" Marlins.

I would say anything made by them now is junk.

The Ruger SR1911, their SBH and their #1 single shot. IMO S&W stopped making classics when they stopped making P n' R's.

Today's guns that appeal to me fall more into the tool category, as opposed to mechanical art like the revolvers that I love. I like a Ruger SR22 and 10/22 takedown but they are 40 blocks from a 5 screw. I'd rather have old than new on SxS and lever guns. A Glock's a Glock, I own a couple but I don't differentiate one from another.

Ive always wanted a Single Action Army. Good to see this.

Forgot to mention that semi-auto version of the Browning Automatic Rifle (B.A.R) is also still being made. I saw a dealer who had 3 or 4 of them for sale at the last GS I went to back in April.

All the semi auto versions of full auto like Suomi scorpion ppsh43 Lancaster Uzi all will look good 20yrs from now. Who thought 99 dollar sks would go so high? Kel tec is a classic just look at who clones them. ksg rfb su16 . All the revolver carbines from Rossi but ymmv that's the game we play, what's gonna go up?

Ruger. The LCP .380 is a copy of the KelTec P3AT. The LC9 is pretty much a clone of the PF-9.

I believe the Ithaca 37 is still in production. I consider the 10/22 to be a classic even though I've avoided owning one until I bought a TD version earlier this year.
