Default Maine Gun Maker

Man, I'm going to butcher this name and I do apologize... Eno Heckinin??? Please correct me. There once was a gunsmith/gunmaker by this name here in Maine and I'm hoping to receive an education about him and his guns. Help me get smahtah. I have a rifle I believe to be one of his chambered in .358 Norma Mag. The family refers to it as the elephant gun...

Try looking him up in the US Census records & the business directories for Maine cities where he may have had his business located, plus the ATF would have a record of his gunsmith license. Ed.

They are going to have a very dificult time looking him up unless they can spell his name perfectly. Looks like that in itself is a big task.
