Metro does not have "ISSUED WEAPONS" each officer has a list of approved weapons to chose from then must qualify with to carry. The PARA guns were made and sold to offisers as a quasi commerative in 2008. I am not sure it is on the list of approved weapons.

Very nice thread. I can't say I'm disappointed, but I thought it was going to be about "48 Hours" (not the TV show, the 1983 movie with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte).

No its a blued Model 28, just looks SS because I don't know how to work a camera.
To add, when I retired, the Dept gave me the gun, I still shoot it a lot. With LSWCs it raises heck with bowling pins.
