Went to a pretty neat WWII Reenactment in Ohio.
Up in Conneaut, Ohio up on Lake Erie they have an event where they do a simulated D-Day landing (I think Utah beach). Somewhere over 800 reenactors and 15,000 specatators. I uploaded some video I took of the battle. It was very impressive; first time I've ever made it up to this event.
D-Day Conneaut World War II Reenactment (Beach Battle Highlights) -- August 17, 2013 - YouTube
Just walking around in camps was impressive. Not a lot of heavy armor to be seen (a Sherman Tank was all) and some medium vehicles like troop carries, a half track, 10 wheel wrecker, a German 222 and tons of sidecar motorcycles). But very neat displays and camps.
And for the battle they flew over a P-51 Mustang and a B-25 bomber. The bomber pilot did a great job of making several low passes right over the beach head.
EDIT: Some pictures:

There's a couple of other events that have more armor at them, like Rockford IL last year had a German Hetzer, a STUG III, a half track, and a few other German armored vehicles... And the allies had a Sherman and probably a Stuart or two. Plus some neat German artillery pieces and such.
But this one had some amphibious landing craft that was pretty neat that I have never seen in person before. So that was really interesting.
