We are getting rain now too, out of the same system by the look of the radar. My son is driving from Dalles tonight, I expect they will be in rain most of the way.

I hear people groan and complain about rain down here.....I guess that their memory is quite short, as we have been in a serious drought for years.
The rain is a welcome blessing

We're getting some out here in West Texas too. We need it as we've had only half of what we should have received at this time of the year.

I can't remember the last time we had rain 2 days in a row down here on the Texas Gulf Coastal area. This morning make the 3rd day we've had rain. Not exactly a frog strangler but 1/2" every day is certainly better than nothing.
I kept hearing this noise coming from the back yard. It turned out to be the grass going, "AHHHHHHHH".
Been having double and triple water bills for months just trying to keep it green. This city water is just barely adequate and real rain makes all the difference.
Now all I gotta do is remember where I put the lawn mower......

About 1.5 acres of grass but the problem is our "leadership" (Town govt, pop 70K), behind closed sessions, had this grand vision for expansion a few years ago, felt we wouldn't have enough water with the allocation negotiated on the current supply, and signed a VERY expensive "deal" to help build and draw from a second source. Turns out we're now on the hook for about 50% of the build out cost and not even using all of our first source allocation. Still have to pay the minimum on the second.
Of course, no one is to blame We pay double+ any one else in the area for water and not a darn thing you can do other than move.

Hope it travels northeast toward Tennessee. I build a new fish
pond, small about 1/2 an acre, stocked it with fish and now we
haven't had any rain for a month. Water level had not reached max
and it's going down fast. I'll be netting the fish and putting them in
my larger pond (2.5 acres) if we don't get some substantial rain
soon.
Glad your getting rain,
Dano

We got 1.2" of rain on Monday and got another .70" yesterday (Thurs.) here in Amarillo and minor flooding in town and the rain has been pretty widespread in all the panhandle area up here and we are so blessed to get it. Some of the areas north and northeast of us have got a lot more rain. Man the farmers sure need the rain. We have been so dry and most of the lakes are drying up. Maybe the rains will continue for a while with all the moisture being pumped up from the coast. We had a cool front come thru last night and it is 60 degrees right now. Pretty nice compared to the heat we have had. Wind out of the north about 20-30 mph and cloudy but not getting any rain out of it yet.

The rain spread to the southeast this morning and we are finally getting some rain here in Piney Woods area around Nacogdoches and Lufkin. It is has been a long time and everything is dry, so this is well needed.

The entire Corpus area has seen rain every day to some extent--for about 10 days now. This month alone--we have had (allegedly) about 7 inches of rain and we are still down about 6 inches for the year. As I type this--the heave rains expected from late today through mid Sunday--are in the area but as of yet--none here yet.
I got caught in the rains twice this week since my umbrella died a slow death on Monday--but I love every drop and THANK YOU LORD!!!!!

The coastal bend has gotten more rain in the past three weeks than in the past year. My grass is growing like crazy, and my lawn mower decided to break.

We cruised over to Fredericksburg, Texas (hill country) to do
a small gunshow.
Been a steady rain since we arrived around 1500hrs.
Looking at radar is shows more coming.
