Local info needed Bethlehem, PA area!
Looking for some local assistance from my PA forum brethren. My son has a Cross Country meet at Lehigh Univ. on Sat. October 5th. I'll be driving in on Rt 22-Rt 378 on Friday evening/night.
I imagine most hotels close to the campus are booked already so maybe something as far out as the Nazareth area+/-. I did work at the Wegmans there and kinda remember that area.
Any ideas for a clean, reasonable place to stay (just Friday night) and maybe a nice restaurant with some local fair on the menu for dinner?
Any help is greatly appreciated. And as always, thanks in advance!
Koz

*Disclaimer*
It's been 12 years since I've been there....
Koz,
Years ago I stayed in the Comfort Suites in Allentown, directly across the street from Dorney Park. I remember the rooms were clean and decent, and the attached restaurant had some pretty good food as well.
Google Maps says its about 12.4 mi. (19 min.) to Lehigh Univ. from there.
Not too helpful I know , but maybe a starting point.

Koz, the last time some folks went to Bethlehem and all the rooms were booked, they wound up staying in a stable. They were going there for their Son, too.
Hope you have better luck with accomodations. Might want to stay over a night or two, though: I hear visitors from the East bring some mighty nice presents!

Yeah, I picked that one up on a interweb search. Thanks for the heads up! 4-1/2 hours each way....I may drive there-n-back in one day (and sleep in my own stable)!

Thank you for not comparing my wisdom to that of a certain long-eared resident of the stable!
And best of luck to KozKid at his meet. (If he's anything like his 22-year-old counterpart VigKid, he's no kid anymore!)

What? The jack*** behind the rabbit?
Yeah, they grow up quick. That's why we travel the country side to catch a glimpse of them when we can!

Tell me about it. VigKid's in Boulder, CO. That's a fur piece from eastern NC, my friend. I'm lucky to see him at Christmas now.
And his sister, VigGirl, is in Minot, ND.
Enjoy 'em while you can!
