It is a hoax. Same web site posted the same exact story, using the same exact wording, back in the summer of of 2012.

If it's not on Drudge it didn't happen. 
Apparently this Eddie Murphy dies in a snowboard accident is a hoax that has been going on for a while according to a quick google search. My question is why?

No..... That was just his career that died, but that's been dead for ages.

I went back to work after a nice long vacation a few (well ok a LOT of years ) back and every one look at me like they were lookin' at a ghost. At lunch time a maintenance foreman came by my control room with a news paper obituary. Guy had my name and was an employee of my company.
I tried to convince everyone that I felt fine but skepticism persisted for a while.
These thing happen from time to time it seems.
