Default Dan Wesson .22 Revolver

I came across one of these today at what seemed to be an attractive price, so low that I might be kicking myself tomorrow for not buying it right there. However, I know nothing about them. I have read they can be quite accurate, while others suggest they can be turkeys. Only one barrel, 6", no extras of any kind.

It looks very nicely made, in stainless, big and heavy with an underlug and a Python-style vented rib.

What's the deal on these?

Very nice revolvers. If it's priced at or below 3 Franklins...go back and buy I'm a DW fan.....revolvers and 1911s. The revolvers have super DA actions and I like the SA as much as my Smiths.

If price is good, give it the standard revolver checkout and if it passes go ahead and buy it. I don't know what the price you are looking at is but the stainless .22s are pretty popular with the DW crowd. If you buy the gun get a feeler gauge and set the barrel to cylinder spacing at .006. If you want after you buy the gun you can pick extra barrels and shrouds, grips, tools, belt buckles etc if you want. There is a good Dan Wesson forum too, google it.
