Default End of Last US Lead Smelter

Aloha,

Looks like we will be having another Bullet shortage that will not end.

NRA-ILA | End of an Era: Last U.S. Lead Smelter to Close in December

I would think the production of lead was an essential industry to the defense of our country... O, right!

Default Makes you wonder

Howdy,
That is just right up the road from me.
I look at all the dumb things that get subsidized and can't believe that this place is being let go. You would think it would be a matter of national security to keep it up or help keep it up.
I know it was the EPA that was after them.
With the IRS and other agencies being wielded as weapons to further political agendas I have to wonder if it really needs to be or not. All you folks in coal country can look for more this to come your way soon.
Thanks
Mike

The government probably wants the military to use lead-free 'green' bullets.

The USA will buy their Lead from China like so many other military parts.

You mean we should not be happy with future college graduates flipping burgers and taking over the greeter position at Wal-mart, to pay off their increasingly enormous student loans?

It looks like the cost of anything made with lead is going to go up. This decision by the EPA has absolutely nothing to do with the environment. It's all about power and control by the EPA, OSHA, IRS, and other agencies and their masters. These agencies are not doing what they were originally designed to do. They have become tools used to further an agenda as they quietly amass more and more power. They don't care what kind of economic disaster they cause as long as the agenda is met. We need to clean house in DC and put some folks in there willing to stop some of this stuff. When they finally eliminate coal and fracking the economy will be far worse than it already is. They just don't care.

Au contraire: All student loans will be forgiven (unless co-signed by working parents), and the taxpayer will get.... Well, you know..

Glad I saved all those snapper weights, and you can bet I'll be haunting the garage sales here on the coast for more.
