Default early 1900's .32 acp semi-autos

My wife and I took her niece to the airport this afternoon and stopped at a gun show on the way home. Here's my latest, an H&R Self-loader .32 acp, second series; based on 16 serrations and the magazine disconnector.

And here it is with the two more popular .32 acp pistols of their day:

Colt Model 1903, Savage Model 1907, and the H&R circa 1914 on

Very nice! Will you shoot it? I've heard that model was, like its cousins in the family picture, quite reliable.

If you do shoot it, please give us a range report. I like old automatics, the older the better.

Shoot it? I bought an unfired pair of original Coonans one day a Model B and a Cadet. Safe queens of their original owner. They still live in their factory boxes...but I shoot them. So of course I'll post a range report!

Those H&R pistols always had a very Webley look to me.

My favorite of the early Semi-Autos is the Remington Model 51

Built under license from Webley; with some changes. The Webleys are external hammered guns while the H&R is striker fired.
