I love Vizslas! I've owned three, a mother and brother-sister littermates, and they're wonderful critters. I never hunted with mine but they are reputed to be fine medium-range bird dogs. They certainly are amiable and intelligent family dogs, and beautiful besides.

You have to watch those. If they taste blood they often turn maneater.

Once they wear the yahoo out of them selves and they calm down and get to task Vizsla are great hunting dogs. Ive hunted all sorts of birds including turkey. No water fowl as this guy doesn't care for water much.

He's pretty good at tracking deer too, not that I use him deer hunting.

We're waiting for the puppy to show up before we name her.

Here are our two boys "Smokey" (the Schnauzer) and "Jack" (terrier mix). They are a lot of fun, and bring a lot of love and laughter into our home.

Here are Shih Tzu puppies Lily and her sister Maggie. We just picked them up from the breeder on January 5th.

And this is Emmie who crossed over the rainbow bridge January 28, 2011. We miss her terribly.

This is Autumn my Pit Bull when she was younger.

This is Roscoe, an American Bulldog and professional troublemaker.

This is the newest addition, Halle Peeno, a Taco Dog Rat Terrier mix and new boss of the house!

This is my dog, Stretch, who just passed away on Dec. 20th:

He loved stuffed animals, especially the ones that squeaked. He was the best natured dog I have ever known; he was so friendly and happy all the time. He was 14 when he died.

This is the dog that I had before Stretch:

Binks.png Photo by gkcapps | Photobucket

He was a very sweet and very intelligent dog; he developed liver cancer at age 11.

I miss them both so very much.

Got little miss home today.

We've named her Remi short for Remington.

Tried talking the wife into two puppies so I could name them Smith & Wesson, she didn't think that was a cool idea. Oh well I tried.

I'll post newer pictures when I get decent ones of her. She doesn't sit still very long. Except when she sleeps.

So far she's mellow for a GSP

The current pest of the homestead is a Pomeranian and Yorkshire Terrier mix named Gizmo.........always looks like an unmade bed. She is a fun little dog to watch keep the back forty cleared of critters!!

She replaced the love of my life, a Jack Russell Terrier named Belle.............she has been gone almost 4 years and she is still missed every day!

Abby is a Doberman and Border Collie mix. These pictures are not new she is nearing 14 now and is showing her age. She is the best dog I've had, wish I could find another with the same mix. She is about 65 lbs.

She was rough on basketballs

New picture of Remi.

She likes to be held, almost too much.

Sure is fun though.

Climbing a tree didn't work for the black squirrel - hiding on the right side of the tree!!

Belle could climb any tree with a slight slant to the trunk!!

Buddy, a Golden/Lab/mutt. The bestest friend I ever had. He's 8 years old now, and when he passes, they'd better dig a big hole. I'll probably go with him.

Gunny looks fun.

I live at 1,300' in SW Washington. Yesterday was our first snowfall of the year (bout time!) and Bingo's first snowfall and my first time driving a quad in it for the first time: http://youtu.be/5BqgH_IVqWQ

Here is my dog Buffy and one of her friends. She looks like a Shih Tzu, but she is really a Chick Magnet.

Buddy: Our first pound puppy. Abandoned in our yard. Lived to be over 20. Typical "schnoodle"

Hagrid and Shiloh: Two current "pound puppies". Wife named Hagrid after the big, sllow, gentle, dark giant in harry Potter (hey, she slipped that one by me!). Shiloh is a pirate; all he says is "arrggghhh". We've seen his brother and sister around town==they all have the same vocabulary.

And Posha, out latest pound puppy. Needs some discipline work!

You will have your hands full with the GSP! You have to set hard limits with them and constantly drain their energy or they will get into trouble! But they are such wonderful dogs.

Sent from my Motorola Flip phone.

I'll post newer pictures when I get decent ones of her. She doesn't sit still very long. Except when she sleeps.

So far she's mellow for a GSP
GOOD LOOKING PUP!!!!!!!

Well, nothing like a little fetch in the snow:

Amos was having fun, but I wouldn't want to be depending on him to find me in an avalanche.

Your dog reminds me of my dog growing up as a kid. Has some similar features. Wow...

What is the rock/brick wall behind your dog?

Both of them are or have been. I've had 7 over the years.
