This is Joe, a Pit Bull/Australian Cattle Dog mix. Known around the house as "old blue eyes."

The coolest pup I've ever seen was a Doberhuahua. Now THAT's a mix you don't see often!

This was my hunting dog Buck. He died in '95, a legend in his own mind. Actually the best dog I've ever owned. I miss him dearly.

My granddog Bailey who died in 2012. This was when he was relatively young and pretty. I was the only person to pay him any attention and walk him. He in effect was my dog who lived with my son's family.

His sister Gizmo, a jealous little dog. She hates Bailey's replacement Daisey and will attack her constantly.

Bailey's replacement Daisey, a beautiful golden retreiver.

Another grandog, Brodie, my daughter's dog of mixed linage. She thinks he is the most beautiful dog in the world and maybe he isn't but he is a very nice well behaved dog and I like him.

Toby the coon dog in his favorite napping position. We got him from the Humane Society in 2006, a breeder had left him there because he was the "runt" in a litter of Walker Coon Hounds. He out grew the "runt" status, and was the smartest dog I ever saw. We lost him to cancer just a couple of weeks ago...

I've just not had any photos of the current resident of the yard. This is Riley, she's a mix of something. She is great at guarding the yard and taking out squirrels, rodents and bunnies. She also keeps the 'hood rats' from getting too close to the house during the night.

The next photo is of a bronze statue that a non-profit organization I am part of had commissioned for a War Dog Monument we are having built in a local pet cemetery. It was based on a local law enforcement dog named "Titus".

We had a good spring chinook season this year.

It's definitely a calmer day on the water when we leave the one year old at home and take the 11 1/2 yr. old.

Yup, he's a Great Pyrenees. A rescue and the biggest wimp you'll ever meet. It's a little embarrassing to have such a big dog, bred to fight wolves and bear, be afraid of grasshoppers and butterflies!
Great video by the way, I live on the water and there's nothing I can do to get Gunter to swim.

We have only had Maverick since September but he is an awesome dog and is turning out to be a great bird dog. Otis (cat) acts like he is terrified of Maverick. But wherever Maverick goes, Otis is right behind.

I know what you mean. They truly are gentle giants. I can remember one time in our back yard when he came running up to me, stopped, opened his mouth and three tennis balls fell out

Default Dog day afternoon

Today we took our four hooligans on a little road trip to visit a step-daughter who has a dog boarding business. We had a nice visit, but it was a glorious day for the dogs, who had the run of several acres. They also enjoyed the company of Anna's dogs. Since she is a breeder, she has ten or twelve of her own, mostly Aussies.

Took foster Raley to the Kiwanis Bow Wow Pow Wow Saturday.
Raley took second place Best Tail Wagger!

If I could have gotten him to do the "propeller spin" like he usually does he'd have gotten first for sure.

Spent some time with some trainers we worked with last year & they say he's made great progress.
