Is John Taffin still around?
I haven't seen anything by this author in quite some time. Does anyone know whether he is still writing professionally?

Yep , he does an excellent "Last Page" article every issue.  One of the main reasons I subscribe to GUNS.

He does at least one article every issue of American Handgunner. AHG is probably one the best, or possibly the best, gun magazine in print today.
