My favorite Christmas Carol was Carol Spharkler. Christmas of 1969, three years before I met my wife.
(Oh, like you clowns never pulled that stunt).
Seriously, Mary, Did You Know? by Kenny Rogers.

It's traditional.
It's classic.
It's Jingle Bells, by the Barking Dogs.
Seriously. I love it....

I'm not sure if I'd call this my favorite Christmas carol, but I can't help but smile every time I hear it.

Hands down my favorite Christmas song ever I have been known to weep when I hear it
Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic host proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"
Christ by highest heav'n adored
Christ the everlasting Lord!
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of a Virgin's womb
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with man to dwell
Jesus, our Emmanuel
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"
Hail the heav'n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings
Ris'n with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

While not a true traditional Christmas song, my favorite is "Ava Maria". If performed well, there isn't a more beautiful song.
I had a church school teacher who was a really great guy and had a God-given, amazing voice. He would sing "Ava Maria" in Latin during midnight mass and then would sing the English translation as a recessional song as everyone left the church. Both were inspirational.
He passed away many years ago from cancer. I think of him fondly every time I hear it.

Three good renditions of this that come to my mind are; Jackie Evancho, Nana Mouskouri and Mollie Busta. Each of those just give me chills.

Karen Carpenter does it beautifully on their Christmas album - probably one of the best ever.
One of the nice things about I-Tunes is sort by song so you can have an hour of (say) Ave Maria's - never get tired of it!

Greg Lake -- of Emerson, Lake & Palmer and King Crimson fame -- recorded this one in 1975, a protest of sorts to the commercialization of Christmas. My favorite.

What's the song in the Garvin commercial?
I like Silent Night, White Christmas, Silver Bells
On a lighter note, I like Merry Christmas From the Family, and Walkin Round in Women's Underwear.

I generally don't have a single favorite no matter what the category. Several of my favorites have been mentioned; I'll just add this one:

My favorite Christmas song is "Christmas Time Is Here", as performed by Jeffery Osborne. In my fantasies, when I sing I sound just like him! Unfortunately, I couldn't find it on line.

When it comes to Christmas music, as well as just about everything else in my life I'm a traditionalist. My favorite Christmas music is:
White Christmas by Bing Crosby
The Christmas Song by Johnny Mathis
Silent Night by Perry Como
Silver Bells by Andy Williams

My favorite Christmas song is "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" based on the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem. I guess that might seems strange because I'm a none believing old non-militant atheist. God, or no god, I love the thought and message.
"Christmas Bells"
I HEARD the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Till ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime,
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Then from each black, accursed mouth
The cannon thundered in the South,
And with the sound
The carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
It was as if an earthquake rent
The hearth-stones of a continent,
And made forlorn
The households born
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And in despair I bowed my head;
"There is no peace on earth," I said;
"For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men."
