I guess the economy isn't that bad after all...
With only 8mos. under my belt buying firearms I thought this time of year would bring some new stock to my LGS.I figured some people would need the cash. The reverse seems to be true.I'm seeing semis and revolvers flying out the door.Prices ranging from $500-$2000.
I'm happy for the people at my LGS.They're are fine people.I guess I'll just have to make do with what I already have and wait until after the holidays.

For some lucky folks the economy is great. A set of diamond/football target stocks (very nice, but NOT cokes) just sold for $283.67 on ebay! Happy days are here again!?

I'm noticing prices online are very good just now. M&P Shields for sale right now for $355 shipped. LGS are a bit high, but online, and bigger stores like Cabelas are very reasonable, and readily available.

I think the economy is still stinky every time i get a little bit ahead with my gun fund money it has to go right back out the door for other things that I need or my Family needs.

I've even had to put my little monthly allowance for supplies (to fight against future shortages) aside.

ME TOO! I've been hitting the shops, and shopping online like mad. Not finding too many bargains though.
I don't think the economy has improved that much. I think its more likely that a lot of people are probably funding Christmas with their plastic.
If that's the case then they'll be selling stuff to raise cash in January or February - once the big credit card bills hit. That will last until the tax returns start coming in to pay them off.

The only people the economy is good for is the already rich, everyone else is hurting or just getting by.

Case in point: the cover of the current American Rifleman featuring the Remington "2020" optical sighting system. $5500 and they throw in a rifle to boot.
I thought I was doing well to get a 15-22 and a Bushnell TR-25 red dot.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

It's manna from DC
Right now, the fed has interest rates at rock bottom.
Refinance the homestead at inflated appraisal values, pay off past plastic, & splurge for Christmas.
New mortgage payment is lower, past plastic & car payment are now gone, & money to spend. I tell you, the economy has never been better.
If it works for our Gov, it surely can't be all bad
