Global Warming... Trapped In Ice
Ya just got to love it. A bunch of climate change scientists (read global warming) are trapped on a ship in the Antarctic ice. Even ice breakers can't get through the ice for rescue.

Well I just have to point out that global warming / climate change actually does allow for cold.... but it's just funnier to say "eh so much for global warming" every time it snows.

Hot, cold, wet, dry... polar bears drowning from no ice and environmentalists trapped in ice... from the Atacama desert to the Amazon rain forest... all proof it's our fault. How can we continue to ignore the facts?

The thing is, no matter what happens weather wise, the warmists claim it it is caused by global warming/climate change.
Too hot=global warming
Too cold=global warming
Lots of hurricanes=global warming
Not many hurricanes=global warming
Too much rain=global warming
Not enough rain=global warming
On and on.

Over the last year, you couldn't turn on your tv without hearing how bad this hurricane season was going to be, possibly the worst ever. It turned out to be about the mildest ever!
Hours were devoted to scaring people about it, blaming climate change, of course. How much time was spent on "Oops, we were wrong"?

Maybe the loons from the 90's that warned us of global freezing were right. Warming or cooling it's always the same ones running around in a panic.

I was almost rolling on the floor when I first heard this one. Yes, a boatload of global warmers stuck in ice. You would think they would learn something from this, but they probably didn't.

Their expedition had set out to prove that climate change and global warming was causing all the ice to melt. They still claim that is the case. Don't forget, it is the beginning of summer where they are.

"Global Warming" "man made climate change" "anthropomorphic climate change".... It's all a perfectly reasonable way to empty the pockets of those who bite. A good con man tells you what you want to hear or plays on your guilt. A great con man does both.

Scaring people is how they get their funding. After the day of reckoning they always have a reason why it didn't happen the way they said it would and still blame it on their original crusade. They give the ol' well the ice is melting but it's still gonna get cold, a cycle earth has gone through for eons.
Global warming and ice age have been shown to occur through history. Didn't have green house gases from industry and automobiles 1000's of years ago. What happened to all the methane gas they were complaining about years ago caused buy cows passing gas, and all the volcanic gas, aerosol droplets, and ash and the conversion of sulfur dioxide to sulfuric acid from these eruptions. To me it's just a way for them to keep a job. Scare the people and keep the money coming in. The poison we are ingesting from drinking water, eating BBQ food etc. next they will be saying it's bad to own a firearm and they should be eliminated.
Me I'll go with the good OL' Farmers Almanac it been more accurate then the weather reporters.

I'm quite sure the people in the mid-west an NE could do with a little global warming right about now.

It really has little to do with climate, and everything to do with control. The folks who say that human behavior is destroying the climate of the earth by making it hotter, or colder, are really interested in getting more control over our lives. They really believe that we are too dumb to just live our lives as we choose, and that only they, the enlightened elite are smart enough to make decisions for all of us. So they need a crisis looming, any crisis, to try to get the rest of us to agree to let them take over our lives and our decisions. And of course, the environmental elitists themselves see no hypocrisy in them jetting all around the earth or living in 15,000 square foot homes with air conditioning and heating, etc, etc, since they see themselves as more deserving than regular folks who are just ignorant yahoos.
I'll bet that few if any of the global warming fanatics support the 2nd Amendment. Again, it has nothing to do with climate, or even guns. It is a mindset that people are seen as responsible who have the right to live their own lives free from unnecessary government control versus those who see people as dumb and misguided who need the government to rule them and tell them how to live (and dumb folks of course are not to be trusted with guns in their hands). This is why using support of the 2nd Amendment is a great litmus test for politicians, to tell who trusts "the people" and who feels that "the people" need to be ruled.

It's about control, but why? Well, if I can control folks, I can get them to work the way I want them to, and I can get the fruits of their labor. I can make more wealth come to my pocket than yours. It is, in the end, all about the money. All the idealism and theory in the world comes down to a simple formula, and the Mexicans say : "Plata o Plomo" silver, or lead.

Amazing indeed. No matter what weather data is entered into the computer climate models, man-made global warming is the result.
Remember a while back some big shot scientist at Global Warming Handwringing Central admitted they were fudging the data. Wonder whatever happened to him?

Well I just heard on the news that the helicopter was going to take them off. My question is what happens next to that trapped ship? Will these environmental people cause a HUGH major polluting problem way down in that relatively pristine area?
Ice is tough and if that ship breaks up there is going to be a lot of HaxMat released and that area will turn into a horrible junk yard.

It's a boat full of scientists and other self proclaimed geniuses. Leave em there. They'll figure something out. If not, perhaps the result will improve the gene pool.

You have to wonder what these climate fruit cakes are talking about as they freeze their ***** off.
Probably how they can "manipulate" their findings to to support global warming and the destruction of the polar ice caps. I wouldn't expect to see too many pictures of this expedition in their upcoming papers.

What amazes me is that we are supposed to swallow everything these people say about the future of the ice packs all around the planet but it is strikingly obvious that they can't even predict what is happening with the ice right around their boat today!

We were moving into the next ice age when I was in grade school. Mighty short one this time!
The computer models predicting global destruction have proven wrong.....there hasn't been any significant increase in global temperature in the past 15 years and none of the scientists can figure out why.......global carbon output has increased exponentially over the same period of time....hmmmmm.......perhaps, maybe, there is no cause and effect relationship???
You know that all of this CO2 scare is based on climate conditions on Venus don't you, at least according to an astrophysics guy I was taking to a couple weeks ago. Funny, no cows or SUVs there.......

I think the dinosaurs went extinct because Fred Flintstone's car only got three inches to the gallon because of those three ton granite wheels. It was "caveman made global warming" that killed off the dinosaurs, not a meteor hitting the Earth.

Looks like the "news" agencies are failing to provide all the info on the little mishap.
Yes, as long as it supports their side, all is good. No reason to let a little truth overshadow their agenda.................they must misdirect...............look, a squirrel!!!!

Meanwhile, is there any way to get a refund on a Mayan calendar? Also, will they come pick the thing up? It's too heavy to take to the dump.

Hmmm ... I'd file this under a "ill stated truth"
Then I'd go on to revise it as thus ...
Engineering is part of the scientific discipline and through science solutions are found.
If they are true scientists and engineers, they will save themselves.
As this is not the case, they likely are not really scientists in the classical sense, thus, frauds.

This Global Warming is gonna kill us all dead. Those glaciers are gonna melt and flood the world. I just heard it was -135.8 degrees in Antarctica. If we keep driving those eeevvvilllllll SUVs it will raise the temperature to a blazing -134.7 degrees.
The glaciers will melt overnight.

And they expect the rest of the world to risk life and limb to go save their carcasses. I suggest they just let them wait till the climate changes and the ice melts on it's own.
