I'll be alone...at least for a little while! Sooner or later my buddy always shows up but is gone before I wake up in the morning.

I'm going to be alone tonight. But to me it's just another. At one time it was not that way. I would like to say Happy New Year to everyone here. Yes even the mods who ding us. A special thank you to the law enforcement firemen Doctors and nurse who have no choice as to where they are tonight. Thanks folks. Then there is the Men and Women who are stationed all over the world who are our armed forces. Thanks folks. Hope you get home soon.

Yep, I will be human-alone but with 3 cats 4 parrots, 3 dogs, 3 Robo Hamsters and (2 horses not in the house!) Settling in visiting my favorite forums with a glass of Merlot wine, may go to bed at 9p instead of 8:30p because I do not have to get up at 4:30a tomorrow...Kinda daring isn't it? I'm in a semi truck refusing to be on the road with all them DUI situations happening tonight and in the morning. Being alone hasn't ever bothered me.

Spent a wonderful afternoon at the range, then a wonderful steak dinner with a couple friends and the little lady. Don't get a much better New Years eve than that.
Wife is sleeping and I am surfin the interwebs.

I quit drinking 32 years ago so this is just another night to me...I did enjoy new years when I was younger but when it got to the point that new years day was spent hung over and sick it wasn't fun anymore

I'm not alone. I'm a Gemini, so my Twin is always here.
I like myself pretty well. That helps.

We did all our celebrating yesterday evening, having dinner with friends at their house and reliving old times and years gone by. It was a great evening, and we toasted the new year and honored Auld Lang Syne. Tonight, we'll avoid the crowds, stay home off the roads, get to bed early and wake up to a new year. There's a "Breaking Bad" marathon on TV - maybe we'll watch some of it. Great series.

To those who want to get drunk, shoot guns in the air and drive fast and erratically while hammered - I wish them good luck with that; the police will be on the lookout for them, hopefully in order to corral them before they can kill or maim others. If the idiots manage to kill only themselves, at least it will improve the gene pool. I hold no sympathy for them. I will not be alone; I'll have my good wife and my good dog close by.

Im not.,..kids are out.....me and the wife...with our 4 hounds are partying.....!

My wife & daughter have been sick (stomach flu). They are both asleep now. This only lasts 24 hours or so. But, it is one of the worst I've ever seen! So, my wife & I will go out on a date maybe this weekend. All we were planning was dinner at one of our favorite Mexican places and a movie. Neither of us drink.
