Default 2014: Stock Market or Gunshow Market?

It appears that 2013 was a G R E A T year for the stock market.

Stock Market Has Great Year, You... Not So Much

The best year since 1997.

So, for 2014, will you invest in:

The stock market

or

The Gunshow market

??

I gotta prepare for where those next 12 Social Security checks will go!!

By staying with the Market in 2013, I was able to purchase two new revolvers. Right now I'm thinking I will do the same in 2014.

I've never been out of the market since I first opened a brokerage account back in 1965. Trying to time Mr Market will put patches on your britches. I'm an investor not a trader and I don't chase the latest and the greatest. Blue chips that pay dividends are my specialties and I recommend dogs of the dow as a method for novice investors. I've made money on guns but I've made a lot more money on S&W stock.

My Roth IRA and 401k is one thing... But buying, selling, and trading plus shooting and having fun is a hobby. It's an expensive one, and so far if you look at it investor style I probably won't ever break even... But my bills are paid and my retirement is funded before I go out buying guns.

I had to halt all gun stuff for two months once so I could fix, upgrade, and detail my car... I hope I don't have to do that again for a while
