I wish Smith & wesson would change
...the music on their customer support center hold line. I've been trying to find out the status of a four month old parts order and that same tune is getting old. I'm starting to think it might another four months to get someone to pick up the phone.

Really? I find "Janie got a gun" perfect for their hold line.

I'm hearing some big band instrumental number. Arrowsmith would be better.

I'd prefer J.S. Bach or maybe Abba, among others. I hate the assumption that all gun enthusiasts like counttry music, and loud rock isn't suitable for the application.

Music on hold
Music on hold is designed to be as obnoxious as possible in order to discourage people calling from holding longer than customer service can ignore.
It could be worse. S&W could route their calls to customer support in Pakistan.

As if the same sound loop wasn't bad enough, it's crackly and staticky sounding too.
Oh well, at least I've got my order coming.

Try reporting in and the dispatch "hold" music is the same stuff they play for a viewing in a funeral home. Such a nice way to start a day!
