Default Need Gunsmith Recommendation

I have a K 38, 1950 vintage, 5 screw. The trigger pull is about one pound and it 'pushes off' easily. With the hammer down and trigger held back there is some rotational play in the cylinder. And the finish could use some sprucing up. Chicoine did a wondeful job on a K 22 of about the same vintage, but his wait time is about two years now. Does anyone know of another good S&W gunsmith?

Cylinder & Slide does very good work, but their backlog may be near as long. Contact them and see.

Alan Harton isn't taking work right now. Try John Gallagher in Jasper Alabama.

You could check Clark's Guns in Haughton, La. They have done excellent repair work for me in the past.

Karl Sokol, Chesnut Mountain Sports

Frank Glenn, Accuracy Unlimited

Both have done work for me, highly recommend either.
