I'm pretty certain that what you have seen is an "I can't write in English" problem.
I remember, years back, when I was looking for a new pistol, Cimarron was selling the "infamous" 1873 Colt "Government". Well, it weren't "infamous", it was "famous", and the 1873 was never the "Government", it was the "Army".
Now, right here,
Cimarron 1860 Army Civilian .44 cal., 8 in. Case Hardened Brass T/G - B/S, 1 Piece Walnut, Standard Blue / Charcoal Blue / Original Finish, Model CA048-CIM
It says, quite plainly, "Cimarron 1860 Army Civilian .44 cal., 8 in. Case Hardened Brass T/G - B/S, 1 Piece Walnut, Standard Blue / Charcoal Blue / Original Finish, Model CA048-CIM"
"Case Hardened Brass".
I believe, however, there is SUPPOSED TO BE a comma between "Case Hardened" and "Brass".
"Case Hardened COMMA Brass T/G-B/S" (that would be Trigger Guard-Back Strap)
I don't believe it is metalogically possible to case-harden brass.
