Question Can you educate me?

I just saw an internet ad for a Sedgley Model 1910 in 22 cal. I am not at all interested in buying one, but I have never heard of a "Sedgley". Can you give me a source or information about this maker?

You know, I had no idea that there were so many gun manufacturers in the 20th century.

Sedgley was an importer of firearms, and also either converted or customized Springfield rifles. I am not sure if they took in rifles and customized them, or converted and sold them, or both. There Springfield sporters were well regarded, prior to WWII. The only Sedgely marked gun I remember seeing was a small revolver, called a "Baby". I am pretty sure it was imported, and as I recall was available in .22 LR and .25 ACP.

The .22 short "Baby Hammerless" 1910 was made by Kolb and sold under the Kolb and Sedgly monikers.

It is double action only and comes with a folding trigger.

My Grand Father carried his in his watch pocket.

Google it for the history of the companies.

The one I inhertited from him is a wall hanger only.

MOONDAWG. Your font color is really hard to read against the grey background. Kind of makes my eyes cross. No offense, just thought I'd let you know.
