A Reminder . . . .
A reminder to all you folks who signed up for one year NRA memberships this time last year in the wake of the media assault, and the declaration that NRA is dead and all but buried.
TIME TO RENEW

I agree.
The battle is far from over, support the second amendment, support the NRA.

I figure there were a lot of folks who signed up in the first three or four months of 2013. I signed my daughter up during that time, and her and my memberships ran out about a month ago. I renewed both of us yesterday.
I have been joining for one or two years at the time for about 40 years, now. That's just the way I decided to do it. My membership lapsed for a year or two once back in the early 80s, but never for more than a month or so since. Sometimes, it was pretty hard to justify the expense, but in retrospect, and in light of recent events, I have to say it was well worth it.
I believe there is a thread running where there is a discounted membership through this forum. If your membership has expired, or is about to, find that thread and renew!
We have mid-term elections coming up in November. Our NRA needs the strength of our numbers, and our financial support. Even here in Georgia, there is a serious anti-gun senatorial candidate who is making headway seeking the seat being vacated by Senator Chambliss' retirement. That's all I've got to say about that.
Finally, thanks to Lee and the leadership of this board for being such ardent supporters of the NRA.

I'm pretty sure you can count on the NRA to remind you to renew. They generally start sending me reminders a couple of months after I renew!

The NRA is not as upset as the following about his commitment:
Mayors for Illegal Guns
Moms Demand Action against Gun Sense
Every Town against Gun Safety
