Prayer Request
Ladies and Gents--
I just received news that a great friend of mine has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic cancer. He is enroute to Oregon for some new cancer trials that they think may help. I know this is a bit odd as i am new here and Norm has never been here but trust me, if he were online here, yall would love him as I do. (Well except the Mods, he would keep yall on your toes like you have never believed  ).
Anyway, if you have a chance, say a little prayer for Norm Kasten in his fight against cancer. He is a great man through and through.
I will post any updates I get from the family ASAP. And thanks in advance yall!

Prayers for Norm. Problem with Pancreatic Cancer is that by the time they diagnose it-it is stage 3 or 4  Wish there was some way to screen for it.

Caj, you hit the nail on the head. My wife has pancreatic cancer, we are lucky as it was found in a routine CT scan following up on her previous breast cancer.
60 minutes had a story about a 14 year old boy who developed a method of screening blood for pancreatic cancer. It is in FDA testing now as I recall. Hopefully it will prove out, as only 5% survive pancreatic cancer and those 5% are the ones who are discovered before they have symptoms.
