Thank you for bringing back pleasant memories of my time with Guided Missile School.
We were all so much younger then . . .

I spent 8 months out there back in 1970. Is that on post or Lawton?

That's Ft. Sill Blvd in Lawton. Parade was going north turning east on Ferris Ave.

Please forgive my ignorance, but do the tracked vehicles have special tracks to avoid cracking up the pavement? They don't appear to have the regular "cleat" type (I don't know the proper nomenclature) of track installed.
Thank you for the pictures.

It looks like they cleaned up since I was there. It was Strip Clubs and Pawn Shops back then.
Nice pics.

Great pictures! Lawton sure has changed sonce I went through the Advanced Course in 1961. I went through Field Artillery ROTC summer camp in '54, too.

Barney's beginning to show his age; but the Mayberry squad car still looks pretty good.

Thanks for the fond memories.
I had a son there as an MLRS crew chief, and on another tour as an NCO Academy instructor.
He took the biggest white tail buck of his life with a bow while on Ft. Sill.
