Default One more bear thread

This guy came to a friend's ladder stand about this time last year. I guess he was full of May Haws. He was a few miles North of LA and a few yards East of Felsenthal WMR. He is still around but I can't get pics.

Haven't seen any this year but had a three legged bruin on my deck last year sniffing the barbeque grill. Two days later the cops had to chase him out of a dumpster behind a restaurant 15 miles away.

I don't want any pictures of bears on my game camera. When the bears show up the deer and wild hogs disappear.

Having seen photos of some of the firepower our members have protecting their barbecues, Pownal, I can only suggest that you might want to rethink the whole land-mine thing in your yard.....

Having seen the nerve these critters display I doubt even land mines would deter them. I'm afraid I can't take credit for the missing leg, besides too many deer hang out here.

Nice..
Was out walking the dog to day, when i stumble on some beartracks.
Only got Brown here in Sweden, but not really fun when they'r
on my back yard

Sadest part is that if i pack a gun for protection, i might go to jail.
Got to love Sweden

My suburban sister moved to the mountains and immediately put out a bird feeder 12' from her front door.Called me a week later complaining that it kept being knocked down at night.Told her to take it down as she was attracting bears.A week after that she sent me a photo of the bear. She had propped open the door and taken his photo while hanging onto the cat .This one got the looks in the family One more bear thread

I looked out the window yesterday afternoon and saw a large bear about to get my bird feeder - not by any means a big surprise around here. I was going to snap a picture for you folks, but I had to choose between a picture or rebuilding my feeder (again). Now, here in Wisconsin the DNR advises not to feed the birds because it attracts bears. Well, I like my birds, so I try to compromise by bringing the feeders inside the garage in the evening, but this guy shows up in broad daylight - I have no time for that. I chased him off, but he shows up again an hour later and is up in one of the trees that the feeders are suspended between, and he's starting to try and chew the rope off. Seems like a lot of work for a couple cups of bird seed. I have a new trick in my bag this year - rubber 00 buckshot - they might look slow and clumsy, but it is truly amazing how fast they can move!

There was an old coot up in grand lake some years ago that was fed up with bears raiding his neighbors trash cans so he bought a paintball gun,set his lawn hair in the drive at dusk and would sit and wait and shoot em in the rump One more bear thread

Default Bear in the tree stand.....

My big black dog has the same markings as this bear except he has a little white on his feet at chest. The part I get a kick out of is how dejected the bear looks when he's challenged. AWWWW MAAAN!
