That they were. I was kinda irked that the new "Genl Lee" wasnt named and no battle flag showing. Other than that, nice commercials for a change.
Damn, I miss Waylon Jennings.

I also noticed that they took pains not to shoot the roof of the car and the Confederate flag (although there is one short shot where they slipped and you can see it has a plain orange roof). My guess, however, is that beyond political correctness, there was a trademark issue with naming the General Lee and coloring it exactly with it's same roof. An orange 01 car by itself is generic enough to not step on anyone who owns Dukes rights.

I couldn't for the life of me manage to like that dumb TV show, so the commercial was almost over before I caught the reference.
I guess it was good for something: it contributed the fashion term "Daisy Dukes" to the language.

No telling. This reminds me of the insanity of half the Senate (IM NOT MAKING A POLITICAL STATEMENT) writing letters to the owner of the Redskins football team telling him he needs to rename the teams because the name is offensive;

I admit to watching and enjoying the show for most of its original run. It gottiring when they replaced the Boys, with Cory and Vance?? and I stopped watching then.
