All those BB's, .117 pellets and 22's I bought are paying off!
We got a call from Parris Island about an hour ago!
I answered the phone, and she said: "Dad?"
I said: "You must have shot good" (They let you call home if you shoot well enough)
She said: "Three possibles on the first table, I got Sharpshooter, and might get Expert when I shoot the last table. I do better on moving targets."
Yep, I'm a proud poppa, looking for a place to brag.

Congratulations on training your daughter to handle a rifle properly; life gets a little easier for a recruit that qualifies Sharpshooter or Expert on the rifle range.

That's why Americans make the best soldiers, early training and familiarity with firearms!

Those of you who are marines might know why they did this...
She said on the first day, they let her shoot a lot more than the others. She said, "The instructor just kept handing me loaded magazines and I just kept shooting." They didn't make any comment or tell her why. She said she probably shot ten magazines before they told her to stop.

Were the DIs taking notes? She might have taught them a thing or two.
I got a buddy who is a DI at PI. His M.O.S. Culinary Specialist.
