Sometimes you just have to take a stand...
...and today I did.
I bought an 18 pack of old fashioned non artificial sweetner red pop sicles.
And you know what???? I'm on #3 and they're GOOD and I don't care that I ruined supper and I've got the rest hidden in the freezer out back.
Now I got to get rid of the red tongue and lips before my wife gets home.

I bought a warehouse box of those sugary flavored liquid things in clear plastic "tubes". Don't even remember what they're called but you rip them off of long strips. I keep a dozen or so in the fridge out where I keep the mowers. Before I begin mowing, I toss a few from the fridge to the freeze and when I get done they are that perfect just beyond slushy state, perfect for a good old brain freeze

Look in the freezer, see I told you no popsicles......Now whats for supper? I know not much of a defense but better than admitting guilt...

I don't think I've seen the non-artificial sweetened Popsicles in the stores in years. You can find ice cream bars, fudge bars, and even ice cream in both real, good-tasting flavors or artificially sweetened...but for some reason, not Popsicles.

Popsicles
Ah! popsicles my favorite of being in the hospital after my gall bladder surgery; the night nurse brought me all the popsicles I wanted.

Ok, now we know about the Popsicles ... now, just where did you stash the stand you took?

I haven't seen a push up in years, I didn't know they still made them, I remember when they first came out, I can't remember if they were a nickel or a dime, I used to get one every day off the ice cream man. I haven't seen an ice cream truck in years either, we don't have many little kids here, maybe that's why.

I think it's illegal in 48 states to eat less than 6 of those in a sitting. I aim for 10 to be on the safe side.

Just put some red lipstick on and tell the wife it's a mid-life thing and you're trying something new.
When you finally own up, she won't give a hoot about the Popsicles.

Behind the frozen duck that Angus and I play with in the fall to get him ready for THE season.

One thing I miss about living in the country is the ice-cream man that used to come around in our subdivision. I'd be out there in line with the kids getting the good popsicles they used to sell.
Now I'll have to check at the store and see if they sell good ones. I miss good red licorice too. What happened to it?

I'm more of a frozen custard kind of guy. Leaves no trace evidence unless it drips on your shirt.
I used to take my first son out to get some custard by saying we were going for a motorcycle ride. Mom still has no idea we always rode right to the frozen custard stand.

Didn't happen without pics. So....cherry? strawberry? Do they have sticks? Are they wooden? Do they still make wooden sticks?

"DREAMSICLE"
my favorite.
Vanilla ice cream surrounded by Orange Sherbert; the best of both worlds.

Ya know Caj, I was expecting you to discuss the merits of taking "THE" stand, as opposed to taking "A" stand.
Perhaps I'm just courting controversy. You be the judge ...

Tell her you are having an affair. She won't be half as mad as she would for you not sharing the popsicles.
