Great Time!!!
I fitted a new to me older red field scope on my CZ 452-2E ZKM. I never thought to myself, "Gee, I wish my sight picture was shaped like an old TV screen." But I had never considered the added clearance you get with one of the old wide view redfields. The bells on either end aren't much taller than the tube. Consiquently, no interference with the bolt or the barrel, even with low rings and a relatively large overall picture. You guys probably all knew this already. Anyway, heres to a gradual learning curve.
Long story short: I dig this scope! even though it's a lot older than this gun, it somehow seems correct.
I would like to think that sometime in the future the CZ 452-2E ZKM will achieve classic or collectable status or both. It's a timeless gun, and they work so well. This wasn't a precision paper punching session. This was me shooting the tar out of an ol' busted tea kettle. Really can't think I had more fun in a good long while:
Great Time!!!
Here's a shot from one of my latest 44 special outings, it's a well used post war 1926 with 6.5" tube. It's the one they'll be prying from my cold dead hands.
