I was there. It was a pretty good show, lots of handguns not too expensive, and not too crowded . Unfortunately I was nursing a headache and just couldn`t get in the mood to buy or allow myself to get excited about anything. No .22LR ammo except for some high priced target stuff.
A vendor I have dealt with in the past was there with a lot of nice S&W`s including a S&W M-57 mountain gun which I traded to him to him last year, asking $1150. Overall I got the feeling the gun bubble has burst and the buying frenzy is over, lots of guns for sale not that many buyers.
I was only there on Sunday afternoon and only for a couple of hours, so my observations may not be correct, just a gut feeling.

I was there Saturday AM. They held it in the smaller room. $9 just to get in.

The aisles were about 18 inches across. Every 300lb + guy had a backpack on and jammed the aisles. Seemed that the same guys had to stop and stand in the middle of the aisle every 10 feet to talk with their friends......who also were wearing backpacks. And were 400lbs.

The VERY few guns that were worth buying were ridiculously overpriced. 4 inch 29-2 USED with muzzle wear and no box $990. Run of the mill 915's with one mag and no box $525. Beat up 3913 one mag no box $595. Tired used up 908 one mag no box $525.

About 25 minutes was all I could put up with. I won't be going back to the C&E Winston show again. Greensboro on its worst day is a better show. With more nice guns too! YMMV. Regards 18DAI
