Default NRA Lifetime Member Discounts

I missed both $300 NRA Life Membership offers. Tried following every link I can find and called the NRA too.

I'm starting a new business and money is tight. I can think of nothing better to add in my personal bio than to be a lifetime NRA member.

Is there any type of sponsorship or deal that members here know of?

(also joining SWCA)

Thanks!

There are none that I know of right now. I would be surprised if another chance doesn't roll around in a few months.

Keep watching. I would not be surprised to see another round of discounts before the November election.

I signed up for Life membership for $495 just a few days ago in response to an email invitation.

I paid $300 each for all three upgrades past Life Member. You just have to be patient and sift through all the letters and emails. I got both Patron and Benefactor this year.

You'll probably see something in October or November, when I've usually seen the mailings for giving memberships for the holidays.

Mostly these different membership levels indicate greater levels of support by the amount you've paid. Probably more bragging rights than anything else, considering that these are still essentially "Life" memberships.

As a Life member doesn't actually have to pay anything more to maintain their status, increasing the membership level provides additional money in place of the annual membership fee, and that's one of the things I considered in justifying my upgrades.

There are even higher levels offered, with a few additional perks, but these have annual fees again, and I could never justify the expense.

My personal reason for upgrading beyond a basic life membership is to continue to financially support the organization. I don't see the anti's stopping their efforts to restrict our rights and it takes money to fight them. If we do not continue to oppose them, what does anybody think the end result will be?

It might be worth a call to them and ask if they will accept the $300 cost for the Lifetime Membership. Don't be surprised if they do. It's worth the call!

Having just missed the offer, I called them several times last year and recently this year. Long boring story, but my wife and I lost jobs last year. Just before the axe fell, I really wanted a life membership. I called several times, but they wouldn't budge. Now, we are starting our own business and again, I wanted the Life Member. It's something I've wanted for many years.

I'll continue to wait it out and be happy as a yearly member for now.

Have life NRA Membership and lifetime hunting/fishing license in WV. I don't recall the NRA membership fee, but the WV license was $25 after age 65, IIRC. Great deal, no matter how long I live!
