It looks like Gander Mountain...
It looks like Gander Mountain will beat Bass Pro Shop by opening this fall not too far from my house at the Northwoods Mall area. BPS is scheduled to open in 2015 just about 2 miles from me.
They had built a big road going to nowhere at Highway 78 and I-26 and I was wondering what was going to go in there. It's a 1500 acre Ingleside Plantation development where the BPS is going to go.

Field and Stream just opened in Columbus today next door to Dick's, about 5 miles from Cabela's and 10 miles from Gander Mountain's Gun World. Add to that a second Vance's Outdoor opening next month a few miles away and we're just about overrun with outdoor and shooting stores

My old hometown spent several million dollars on infrastructure and access for a new Cabelas several years ago.Cabelas then changed their minds and put up two new stores in two other towns...

Where will second Vance's be?
We're getting a Field and Steam soon as well.(2 miles from me...with a Costco) If they are affiliated w/ Dicks, still no handguns for us. Dicks only sells long guns here.

After you go to GM you'll be wishing the Bass Pro Shop opens soon. Just do the grand opening sales you might get something reasonable.

Got a couple GM's near me. Very good selection of guns, but for the most part, prices are right at full retail. I use them often to handle a particular model, before ordering it from a local FFL. I have been guilty though of buying something from them when I just had to have it then and there....
