The Mexican Government Troops demanded the return of the Gonzales Cannon.

After two days delay awaiting recruits.

The Colonists answered

Come and Take It.

AH: The Mexicans are still whining about Santa Ana's leg which is on display in a military collection in Illinois. They've repeatedly requested it's return!

Come and take it was a phrase used in Texas' fight for independence.

Molon Labe, come take, was used by the 300 greeks who held back the Persian Army for 3 days.

Molon Labe is also used by 2nd amendment folks when replying to Persians in DC.

Ive got both as sayings on some private purhases gripsfor my .45. The left side has the Dont Tread On Me flag with Molon Labe under it-the right side has the Gonzales Flag with Come and Take It under it.
