Sometimes when shopping I see these guys standing at attention, holding their shopping carts, waiting for the wife to issue orders, straight ahead, left or right.
I travel alone.

I don't shop, I buy. And you know when I buy by myself, I prefer to buy alone.
With apologies to George T.

Women create "Shopping Lists" but only "Men" use them.

I resemble the first picture. I'm single & hate to shop. But then I have to stand in line while some gal goes thru her purse looking for coupons, money, check book, credit card or something while the lines on both sides of me leave quickly.

I usually leave pretzel crumbs behind me to find my way out of the shopping center. Tried leaving spent casings once, almost got arrested.

The wife calls to tell me to pick up milk etc on the way home from work a lot.
Never calls to tell me to get some beer.

And not to mention, she is on the phone the whole time.

If you use your peripheral vision and focus on multitasking, you could actually shop both sides of each isle with one pass and thus get the hell out of there 50% quicker. You know, barring being caught behind that idiot with 22 items in the 7 item or less check out line.

I use a rewards card from a local market. I realize that they are tracked in some fashion to gauge consumer trends but I'm tickled by the thought of someone stuck in a cubicle somewhere trying to figure a list of potential buyers of whatever doodad of the day some marketing firm has come up with and encountering a list of my purchases from that store.
Charcoal, meat and beer.
I guess they write me off as a caveman because I never hear or see squat for offers.

With all due respect to our better half some of that might be chasing down a child that wandered off.
Sure looked like one of those Family Circle cartoons at first.

I will quietly laugh so my in-laws do not hear and if heard I plead the 5th as to my reasons.

And that doesn't even touch on burning $22 in gasoline to look for a $5.00 saving on an item at the fourth store she tries.
