Anyone see Walking Dead last night? Wow, I thought Gareth was gonna be a thorn in their side for the whole season. I think the church massacre was the most brutal scene Ever on TV.
Don't they know how stupid it is to split up again?

i think rick going primal and biting the guys jugular, followed by the gutting of "Corral's"(think how rick says carl) admirer was the most brutal scene. although last nights was a close 2nd. something will bring them back together soon.

it was a good episode. my thoughts on who darryl brought back at the end. one is morgan...the other thought was that gareth had said there were two "termites" that knew of darryl and carol following the car. it was either those two, if they had not been in the group killed inside the church, or the person driving the car. to finish the theory, carol was holding them back, knowing of the possibility of the termites having over run the church

8 had a feeling that there would be a massacre but I thought either it would happen in the school as Rick's group went to put an end to this or in the church by Gabriel. I thought he would finally snap when the Terminus group heard the baby cry. I had a feeling that Rick was coming back just in time but thought that if would be too obvious.

We got to see the red handle machete and Michonne (sp?) got her toy back!!

I have slain thousands of them on my iPad.
I'm still bothered by how can you kill things which are already dead?

It was very satisfying to see Rick keep his promise to Gareth.

Don't look at it as killing, look at it as de-animating them.

However if you want to get technical death is the termination of all biological function that sustain a living organizm. So if their brain is still working on a primitive level there is still some biological function.

i knew that rick and the rest were still there. if you watch the scene before the termites get to the church, it shows rick's group coming to a road(from the left of the screen), go into a shadow and never come out. then gareth's group comes out onto the road from the right. rick and the others knew about gareth and the rest coming.

I thought it was kinda funny that the guy the termites were consuming--laughed at them and showed them that they were eating tainted flesh. I "saw" that coming in last weeks episode, but never fully expected it to happen.

Same reason teenyboppers always run TOWARD slasher.....Good film.

I was kind of hoping that we would see what eating tainted flesh would do to the living. I don't think that particular subject has been touched on yet.

I was glad to see another really strong episode. I won't miss Hipster Gareth, though.

It just seems odd that Maggie seems to have forgotten completely about Beth. Didn't Daryl tell them she had been snatched by the car with the cross? Why wouldn't she stay to try to find her sister?

I have only been hooked on this the last three weeks. I bought season 1 on DVD, but no chance to watch it. Caught the CDC episode. Enjoyed seeing the termites get theirs. No use begging.

I must have missed something. Why were Daryl and Carol gone?

In the previous episode Carol spotted a car that she was going to use to slip away from the group. I guess she still felt uncomfortable around them. Daryl followed her and as he was trying to convince her to stay he saw the same car go by that took Beth. They both jumped into Carol's car to go after that car

He said the meat was fully cooked--so im guessing? at least--upset tummies because of it being tainted. Has anyone else noticed that during the eginning of episodes where name credits are being ran--that they show birds who apparantly have "turned" because of eating tainted flesh. Id like to know why--we havent seen problems from that area????-----yet....

Ditto here.My "draw" was because of Michael Rooker. Had it not been for him? id never have watched another episode.

They went after the car with the cross on it--because they had Beth.

Maggie only knows that Daryl and Carol are gone. She does not know why they are gone or that it had anything to do with finding Beth. She likely thinks her sister dead or unlikely to be found again given the world they live in. The simplest theory, since no one knew why the two left, would likely to be to assume that they wanted a private tryst.

IIRC it was at the end of the episode where Daryl and Beth burned down the moon shiners cabin.

it was actually one of the few following that one...that episode ended with them walking away, giving the one finger salute to the burning cabin...it's the one where they find the well stocked funeral home.

My wife just now drove by the entrance ramp to GA State Road 20 at the race track and she said it was blocked off. This is where they shot the "traffic jam" scene on the divided highway for season two and they occasionally come back to shoot in that area. I was talking to the owner of my LGS the other day. He said some of the guns they use come from his other store and some other stuff comes from his store that specializes in police and fire gear. But he said they are a pain to deal with. He has some things he rents to movie companies but the prop people with TWD didn't want to rent them insisting instead on buying the equipment. He said no.

Like others I thought Gareth would be a longer run than this. I'm glad Michone got her katana back as she just wasn't the same without it. It will be interesting to find out where Beth has been held...obviously a hospital but why?

Anyone watch last night's episode? Looks like the M&P9 was center stage doing the killing!

Beth did the killing. She was using what looked like an M&P9.

Now I know who Darryl told to: "Come on in."

Word is Darryl and Carol knew Beth was inside from talking to the kid that got out. Carol is a plant to get someone on the inside.
I did get a kick out of the Grady Memorial Hospital reference since my mom was the Chief OR Nurse at Grady many years ago. Of course that wasn't really Grady, it was a closed hospital down in Newnan.
BTW, did anybody notice the M44 carbine they carried out of the gun store a couple of weeks ago.

Agreed, the church scene was pretty rough but to me the scene in the Sanctuary when they had Rick and Co. bent over the tub whacking them on the head then slitting their throats was right up there in the brutal category.

Guess they split them up to create all the side stories.
