I was robocalled by Pat Boone?!?
Had a voicemail yesterday, a robocall from Pat Boone! Sure, I'm on the shady side of 60, but ol' white shoes?
It was of course some kind of vote for such and such call. If the parties want me to listen to the message, they should have Mick and Keith call, not Pat. Not that anybody is going to blindly influence my vote.

Funny post. It's interesting to contemplate what marketing people think will be persuasive to which groups . . . and why. Often they get it right, but sometimes . . .

Even when he tried his failed comeback years ago, he wasn't cool and never will be.
Here he is, Bad Pat Boone.
I wish I could read Alice Cooper's mind in this photo.

I'm 71 and Pat Boone called me yesterday also. I didn't like him back in the day and don't like him now either. Especially when his recorded voice is bugging me at home in my elder years just like it did in my younger years.
Ain't no escape.

I would never buy one of his recordings, but a lot of people liked him, and that's okay with me.
But as my political consultant, no.

I'm sure once he heard Tutti-Frutti by Baboone he wanted to Rip It Up.

Lucky
I changed my phone service three months ago and got a new phone number. Not one telemarketer, survey, or political call since. I called my old number just to see what happens and the recording tells the caller that my voicemail box is full. Even Pat Boone can't get through to me.
When I fill out on-line forms or when asked at a check-out counter for my phone number, I don't give it. Let's see how long this good luck lasts.

The dude is 80 years old. Check out the Tutti Frutti video. I like how he's 'The man who made it a hit'.

I'm so old my call came from Buster Keaton.
The thought of a call from Pat Boone, much less his annoying daughter, makes me very, very glad I don't answer any call from a number I don't know.

Just goes to show your are never too old to learn. I never knew Pat Boone recorded that song. I got a call from Sarah Palin last year, does that count?

I feel left out that Pat hasn't called me. His covers of Little Richards
songs were sad compared to the originals.

Well, Mick has been off booze and drugs for many years, and works out a lot--eight hours a day to prepare for a tour.
Keef, on the other hand, will not require embalming when he eventually checks out.

About 2 1/2 years ago while visiting with my Doctor, he suggested I purchase Life by Keith Richards, I did.
Turned out to be an excellent read, my doc is a pretty cool guy.
Born in 1943, as children they lived through really tough times.

Mike Huckabee called me yesterday telling me how important it was to vote, etc. I had already done the early voting thing so I just hung up on him.

Here in the southeast I've also gotten a few from Nascar drivers like Richard Petty. I figure whatever party thinks I'm stupid enough to listen to their political opinion doesn't deserve my vote.
