Did it have a little digital soul? Is it going to purgatory to wait for the rest of the corporeal vessel to arrive?
I'd say it's too late for that. I'd guess that digit is gone.
At least it was only one finger, he can still keep track of the on field team without taking a shoe off.

This type of accident often happens when someone is playing around or posing with a loaded handgun. Of course when the police arrive the story is they were cleaning it and it just went off.
Conseco has always been the type of guy who doesn't believe the rules apply to him. Too bad for his finger he ignored the basics of handgun safety.

Well as suddenly is euphuism for suicide, in most all cases cleaning a gun is plain English that someone was fooling around and the thing went off. Conseco has never made me think he was a Mensa member.
