One morning three South Georgia 'good old boys' and three Yankees were in a ticket line at
the Atlanta train station heading to Athens, GA for a big football game.

The three Northerners each bought a ticket and watched as the three Southerners
bought just one ticket among them.

"How are the three of you going to travel on one ticket?" asked one of the Yankees.

"Watch and learn," answered one of the boys from the South.

When the six travelers boarded the train, the three Yankees sat down,
but the three Southerners crammed into a bathroom together and closed the door.

Shortly after the train departed, the conductor came around to collect tickets.
He knocked on the bathroom door and said,
"Ticket please." The door opened just a crack, and a single arm emerged with a ticket
in hand. The conductor took it and moved on.

The Yankees saw this happen and agreed it was quite a clever idea.
Indeed,so clever that they decided to do the same thing on the return trip and
save some money.

That evening after the game, when they got to the train station, they bought a
single ticket for the return trip, while to their astonishment the
three Southerners didn't buy even one ticket.

"How are you going to travel without a ticket?"asked one of the
perplexed Yankees.

"Watch and learn", answered one of the Southern boys.
When they boarded the train, the three Northerners crammed themselves into a
bathroom, and the three Southerners crammed themselves into the other
bathroom across from it.

Shortly after the train began to move, one of the Southerners left their bathroom and
walked quietly over to the Yankees' bathroom. He knocked on the door and
said, "Ticket please".

There's just no way on God's green earth to explain how the South lost the Civil War.

Joke for a joke but this Marine had to be from the south,

The rain was pouring and there was a big puddle in front of the pub just outside the Navy Base. A ragged old Marine Gunnery Sgt. was standing near the edge with a fishing rod, his line in the puddle. A curious young Navy fighter pilot came over to him and asked what he was doing.

"Fishing," the old guy said.
"Poor old fool," the Navy officer thought and he invited the ragged old Marine into the pub for a drink. As he felt he should start some conversation while they were sipping their whisky, the smart-axs fighter pilot asked, "And how many have you caught?" "You're the eighth," the old Marine Gunny answered.

We lost cause the Yankees cheated.

I heard that Mars' Bobby met with Grant, to discuss the North's surrender. Grant was hungry, and wished to make a sammich. He did not have a knife to slice the bread. Mars' Bobby loaned him his sword to use, and that dirty Yankee kept it. Lee was too much of a gentleman to make a fuss about getting it back.

I thought that this thread was about us Southern Gentleman getting together to whip up on some of those yankee boys that was stealin all dem good S&Ws.

You lost, deal with it. As a man who settled in MT told me once on the difference between living in the south and living in the Rockies: Southerners are really big on how much they help their fellow man. They will spend hours telling everyone about it and when trouble happens they might show up. You guys never say a word just jump in and solve things. It is tough to even get you to stick around for a beer afterwards.
Been there and you can keep your humidity and chiggers.
