Where are the Black Friday deals?
I looked through Guns for Sale and Trade here and didn't see a single BF offering.
Is everyone too full of turkey or just plain sick of the marketing hype?

I paid $.05/ea for 1925 rounds of 22lr and got a few boxes .270, .308 and 30-30. I also bought 500 rounds of .45acp for $170.00. All at the new Field and Stream by us. I also bought another 10" Lodge skillet for 14 bucks (my 3rd). They had a few deals on rifles (a 336W Marlin 30-30 w/ a 3-9x40 scope for $349), shotguns (some Weatherby pumps and 870s) and handgun (100 bucks off Kimber Solos, a Para 1911 for $400 off, $150 off a Block 42 and a few more), but nothing that I wanted or needed. For those interested, I think the gun deals run for 4 days, but might be on in store inventory only.
Gander Mountain had zip for deals. They said something about more deals on Saturday(?). I have no idea what logic was used for that marketing boondoggle. They did a big gun department remodel a few months back and have been impossible to deal with since.
I did score 4 of those 5' camo ladders at Lowes for $20 each. That deal was posted in a different thread here a couple days ago.
I was at Lowes at 5:30am and then made the rounds to F&S and GM. I passed a Target, a Best Buy, a Walmart and a mall this morning and traffic was extremely light at all.

My local gun store had 20% off on all guns and they typically have great prices anyway. Saw a nice 642 no lock for $349 and a High Standard 1911 with a few small rub marks for $329, so take another 20% off those prices and "not too bad".

AHHHHHHHHHH! I live hours from the nearest Cabelas. I have not seen any 22 LR on the Wally world shelf for 18 months. One little gun shop is selling Thunderbolts for 5.99 per box of 50.
one more AHHHH!
Hope he remembers you too.

My local shop had 15% off used guns today. They had three used revolvers: 12" barrel Taurus in .22lr, Ruger single six, and a Ruger Vaquero in .357. Pass, pass, and pass today.

On our local news tonight they went to different stores and they found that the prices today were higher than they were two weeks ago, so much for that.

My wife bought a Benchmade Bone Collector at the LGS. Usually $135.00 for $100.00 even. She's gonna give it to me for Christmas.

Pretty much a wasted morning for me. I'm away from home turf for the holiday. Local WM hasn't had .22 for several weeks, I'm told (manager seemed honest about it). Academy had a few boxes of Fed Auto Match, but they sold in 12 minutes after opening at 5am. Bass Pro said they had .22, but lasted less than 20 minutes.
Will look for that 9mm deal when I pass a Dick's on the way home Sunday. Maybe.
Have not seen a retail box of .22 (except the $$ Aguila & Rem target stuff).
Called Gander Mtn, they had it in the local ad, clerk said they didn't get any at all, and had to get the off-duty officer doing security to encourage people to leave. Seems it got ugly when those in line looking for buckets didn't find any.

I've been wanting a range finder for a while. So today I got the Leupold RX-1000i TBR DNA (I think those are all the letters ) for $249 delivered. I'm happy with that Black Friday deal.

That is a good question. I was hoping for some type of sale on some s&w revolvers but no such luck.

My shop ran a true, no hidden charges $50 over our cost sale on all new in stock guns Friday and Saturday. We sold a few, too, including some ARs and at least one S&W 642.

I went to Field & Stream for the first time. Paid $19.98 for 500 rd boxes of .22 lr. 9 mm was on sale for $140.00 for 1000 rds. I think a 1440 rd bucket of .22 lr was $64.98 or aroundabouts.
There were more deals but I was too tired to look any longer.

The way some of the LGS around here complain about life in general they make it sound like they'd be lucky to get $5 over cost.
Curious about sale price on the 642.

The first and last timei tried getting to a WM for a ""Black Friday"" deal was in 2010. I finally got there-and it looked like a cat 5 hurricane blew threw the store. All I was going for were DvDs. Well, got to the dvd section--nothig left but the "Sweepings from the road" I was hoping to get all 3 seasons of Star Trek--for a steal. Nope, nada, nein nuuh, nyet, no, not happening etc. All I did come away with was a $2 Taken DvD, and somehting else for 43 bucks. It was a sad sad sad sad day.
At that time, I FORGOT--to check the ammo counter.

Was cruising by a Walmart today and my wife realized we needed a few groceries so we stopped in and luckily there wasn't much of a crowd. I headed to sporting goods and they still had Black Friday specials going and 20% off on guns. I had been wanting a traditional blue and walnut bolt action rifle with iron sights and they are really hard to find, but I spotted a Remington 700 BDL 30-06 with beautiful wood for $377.00! I went to purchase it and the cashier said "it also comes with a scope and mounts but they are not in the box and we are still looking for them". I said "don't even bother looking for the scope", I gave up on cheap scopes a long time ago.
