Default Boone and Crockett Captive Deer-Elk Trophy Scoring

Well I guess those guys shooting the tied up deer to get a trophy will have to toughen up and go on the stalk to get in the books now.

I thought they did not allow pen raised / "canned" hunts type animals for some time now?

Personally, I think its getting kind of ridiculous the way some people "hunt" deer these days.

Intensely managed, fenced land, feeders, bait piles, food additives, and all the high tech. accessories that many hunters employ.

Nothing wrong with hunting a natural food source, or taking advantage of a farmers crops, but what ever happened to just grabbing a rifle or handgun, and taking a walk in the woods? You know, hunting......

Couldn't imagine shooting a pen raised, genetically engineered buck named "Bob", in a fenced in enclosure, using every high tech. item of gear available, while a warmed up 4-wheeler awaits to return me to the lodge (across the street) for my waiting hot breakfast.

Heck, I feel bad sometimes when I use a scope.....

But, that's just my opinion.
