Default Enforcement Way Down in NYC

Arrests plummet following execution of two cops | New York Post

Arrests and summonses down 94%. Response time quadrupled due to mandatory backup on every call. Cops electing not to make misdemeanor, quality of life arrests thanks to the mayor vilifying the cops. So the people smoking weed in the lobby of yiur building, the homeless shaking you down for your change, the drunks peeing in the street and blasting music. They all get a pass. It's all going up. That's the NY the people want, that's what they're gonna get.

This isn't a protest by the cops. It's them protecting themselves. The Eric Garner case was a misdemeanor quality of life arrest, too. Why do them anymore?
