OK I've had it with the cold weather.
It's time to move at least for the winter. So how is the Tucson area or other places in AZ during the winter.

Be glad your not here, overnight it got down to -27 degrees and didn't get above zero until 12:00 noon. I think we have had 13 straight days below zero. But by the weekend we are suppose to get above zero.

Buy a sweater & turn the heat up. BTW, Tuscan is beautiful with January being the coldest month, next month it could be like summer.

It's 16F in Boston, I have to go outside, left something in the car.
Pray for me, I'm going out wearing only my pajamas.

Metro Phoenix is nice, mostly 60s-70s since the first of the year. There are many homes on the market at great prices.

lived in SC for 6 years, used to laughingly "complain" to family in Wi about the cold when it would drop below 50's..... never got much sympathy and now living back in Wi i sure know why.
I see even 40's after the past few arctic weeks and i may drop the top on the mustang and go for a cruise lol

OK, I've seen and been out in the cold, does -53° F sound cold in Eau Claire, WI back one day in late 1960's? Augusta, GA is enjoying its second week of fog, clouds and +40° F temperatures. It is cold!
And I am sick of the cold, fog, and rain!

You mean back when you had to walk 10 miles to school uphill, one way through 6 foot snowdrifts?
But you had the good sense to Escape Wisconsin unlike me. I love the Fall here but the idea of 40 degrees with fog is a tad appealing right now. I do admit I like the sunshine but when your nostrils stick together it is a bit of an offset. But I must love it!! I stayed and likely will stay all my days.

Last winter in Oklahoma City it was really cold and it snowed a lot, but it seemed like the sun was out quite a bit, so it wasn't too bad. This year we've had dark clouds and drizzle every week, and I don't think I've seen the shine much in the last month. I get depressed if I go for long periods with no sunshine. Oh well, after today its supposed to shoot up to the high 50s and be sunny for a several days.

How much does it cost to heat so many square feet in your area? Propane is 2.40 & electricity is .15 cents a kw in my country. Is that Alaska or Arkansas? All I got is an electric blanket & 2 Chihuahuas to keep my feet warm.

Alaska, fuel oil has been right at $4.00/gal the local for electricity is 22 cents kwh but there are fuel adjustments which push it above base price. We supplement with wood stove and use seasoned birch with a bit of spruce. Bought cut split and dry for $250 per cord delivered. Just did not have time to go and cut it this year. There are many days with no solar help. 15000 heating degree days here and 750 degree days below zero.

I just wrote a check for a $185 cooling bill.
It's been warm down here with only a few cool snaps. I think I put on a flannel a couple of times because its on the coat rack still and I'm sure I put it away last year.
I was doing some repairs around the house this afternoon and got chewed up by mosquitoes. Come to think of it I got chewed up doing a job across town this AM too.
Global warming for sure.
I feel for you guys up north, You could have come down here and helped the economy and got a tan. Win Win!

We have three state beaches near the house that the clubs come down on Jan 1 st, they come early in the morning and tailgate until noon, then go for their swim after the swim they don't stick around for long, we have two lanes bumper to bumper leaving town, I'm sure the heaters are on high, I usually go to the beach at the end of my street and take some pictures, this year I didn't do it, maybe it was too cold.

It must be tough getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom with two Chihuahuas on your feet.

Ah, mosquitoes. I had forgotten about those buggers. One benefit of the current weather here in the winter wonderland I suppose. I really hate those things but they sure love me.
