Man bulldozes home without telling wife
Every so often I read a crazy news story; this is one of them.
A Middletown, New York woman went to work Monday morning and came home to find her house gone. Her hubby bulldozed it without telling her or anyone else. He didn’t bother to shut off the utilities or remove belongings and appliances before demolishing the home. They are now homeless.

I wonder if her boyfriend left things in the house too? I doubt it's because she is a bad cook. At least he is
smart enough not to risk an arson charge.
You know the old saying "Instead of getting married I'm just going to buy a house for a woman I hate".
I've never been divorced but I will wager many guys feel a kindred spirit with this person.

As far as "Sea Stories" go the closest I can come to this was when Bruce "E", a co-worker got divorced in 1978.
The Judge ordered him to sell their "paid for free and clear" house and give his soon to be ex 50% of the proceeds.
He came to work and asked his LT., "You like my house don't you boss?, "Why yes" was the response. Bruce then said, "I'll sell it to you for a dollar".
That evening he dropped off a shiny new Kennedy half dollar to his ex who went screaming all the way to the court house without effect since the court order failed to mention "for fair market value" when the sale was ordered.

I've read a similar story of a woman who did the same thing when her hubby ran off with another woman and asked her to sell his classic car.

I wonder if her homeowners policy will pay off since the home was in her name only and he did it without her permission. Sounds like lawyer time!!! Clearly the man is stupid beyond belief or he was mad about something! That is not the behavior of a rational human being.

Interestingly, the house in question would be called a "flat" in the UK, same as it's called here in the US.

Definitely not a member of a Local Union.
Otherwise that job would have taken at least 2 -3 weeks.

Some years back, a friend of mine got into an argument with his girl friend. We were standing outside of the car at a Frisch's drive-in, talking with some of our buds, when she got upset because he wasn't paying enough attention to her. She locked the car doors, started his '66 Chevelle with the 327CI engine and 4 Speed transmission.
She then proceeded to grind off the gears, one at a time.
No one would give her a ride home. She had to call her father. When he came to get her, he actually chewed on her ear for her temper tantrum.
Cost my buddy more than $500 to get it fixed, lots of money in those days.

I read this today and felt that the piece should explain "Psychotic Episode" in the dictionary.

Half the marriages end in divorce, the other half death. Some people are just luckier than others. I have no idea how the bulldozer guy's will end. Could go either way.

Depends upon policy wording. If it's an all risk policy, it boils down to the few listed exclusions, since it wasn't an "intentional act" on her(the actual owners) part. In some states even if they were co-owners she might still recoup 50%.

Brings to mind a long ago story-- A friend of mine, a retired State Troopers wife tried to take him to the cleaners- she had a new boyfriend-- she pretty much did, but he left his guns with me, for a good cleaning, and they were going to auction off the house, which she figured to get for a song. I went and bid on the house on the courthouse steps, knowing I was covered up to a fair market value -- once reached, I went over the mark with some of my own funds. She ended up paying some 20K over fair market value as we knew she was greedy and didn't want him to get the house.

Guess he showed her, huh? I wonder what the real story is? There's no mention of the man having had a mental history, so my guess is she did something that drove him over the edge, and now neither want to tell the truth.
