Anything "Gate"
What is it with these idiots that name anything that happens & ends it with "gate"? Do these idiots have any idea where "gate" came from? Or what it is? I doubt it. Are they so stupid that they can't come up with an original name for anything? I'm guessing they are. Thing back & remember how many scandals, news events or whatever has happened & they slapped "gate" on the end of it. In 40+ years no one can come up with anything original!!! People are getting stupider everyday!

It's a media thing. They need a story and someone has to write it. It adds some bling so the audience won't fall asleep.
If you have a TV get rid of it and it will go away.

Yes they know. After Watergate all scandals now end in -gate. Don't see what the big deal is there is a lot of other phrases like this that you use ...can't you come up with something original?

It's about time.....
It's about time to come up with new identifier for scandal. You gotta admit though it was a pretty big deal. Watergate was the first big scandal where a President was forced to resign and gave the office a bad name that no one trusted and lost respect for.

The real "Watergate-gate" would be the owner of the hotel,office complex, apartment building ,named Watergate to bring suit against people using part of the name of the original scandal without permission.
I always thought it very appropriate the area of Washington where the buildings are located was known as "FOGGY BOTTOM".
